Overview

Communications for healthcare infrastructure

A hospital or clinic project involves the province, the health authority, the people who work there and the patients and neighbours who depend on it. reVerb plans communications around each of those groups and the point in the project where each one comes in.

reVerb provides strategic communications for healthcare infrastructure, including new hospitals, expansions, clinics and research facilities. We work with health authorities, government, engineering firms and contractors on stakeholder relations, engagement and issues management.

What we do

Key areas of support

01

Stakeholder & Government Relations

Healthcare projects involve the province, the health authority, municipalities and funding partners. We build communication plans that keep those partners aligned through planning, design and construction.

02

Community Engagement & Public Outreach

A new hospital or expansion changes traffic, parking and emergency vehicle routes in the surrounding neighbourhood. We plan engagement with neighbours, patients, staff and community groups, and report what we heard back to the project team.

03

Construction Next to Operating Facilities

Hospitals stay open through construction. We plan notification for patients, visitors and staff on access, parking, wayfinding, noise and vibration.

On Valley Line West LRT, reVerb supported communications for construction next to the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton.

04

Crisis & Issues Management

Construction delays, budget changes and service disruptions at a health facility draw public and media attention. reVerb prepares response plans ahead of time and supports the project team when an issue breaks.

Why reVerb

Why healthcare project owners work with reVerb

reVerb tailors each strategy to the facility and the patients, staff and neighbours it serves.

Health system and government background

Our team includes people who came out of Alberta Health Services and Government of Alberta communications, so we plan around provincial approval, funding and reporting requirements.

Communicating with patients and staff

Plain, accurate information for patients, families and staff who rely on the facility while work is under way.

We run the engagement we design

Planning, facilitation, documentation and reporting handled by one team, from the first public session to the what-we-heard report.

Multi-stakeholder coordination

Engagement across health authorities, government, municipalities, contractors, staff and neighbours, each with their own interests.
